Note however that the folders must have fewer than 10, files inside. BTW, I love Dropbox other than this issue. We need a fix for this. The fix is rather simple I think.
When a client gets a Dropbox invitation, have the dialog be something like "you have received a Dropbox invitation from Jeff Hammond. Would you like to sync this to your Dropbox account, or view the images online and download them directly to your computer. Am I missing something? I'm sure people are losing clients because of dropbox. I can't imagine being a client and going through this BS and wanting any of my friends or family go through this in the future. I am sorry to say Dropbox, but you dropped the ball on this one. I am paying you to use Dropbox as a sharing platform but when trying to share clients' files that exceed 1GIG or close to it it does not let the client download.
In today's cameras format we share huge files and folders. If I cannot do that I don't need your service. The maddening thing is that people were able to do that in the past and now they can't! I know that you want more money but as a paying customer I don't appreciate you try to lure my clients to pay you and as the same time damaging MY work flow and reputation,. I can not believe dropbox has been silent for over a year on this issue. I am currently struggling to share a 30GB file, if it does not work this time, then i will definitely won't use dropbox anymore, not even for smaller files.
I just discovered this issue, and it's pretty ridiculous. Dropbox has always been pretty confusing to use, for such a simple concept - kinda like pied piper I thought my clients were just dumb, but it turns out they were right - you can't download large files from dropbox!
